Biography

I am a Professor of Orthopaedic and Traumatology in Gadjah Mada University, Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta. I like teaching and hope that my writing could give benefits to all my students and society.

Prof. dr. Armis, Sp.B, Sp.OT was born in Padang, July 17th 1943 and graduated as Medical Doctor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Gadjah Mada December 1970. He finished General Surgery in 1981 also at the University Gadjah Mada and followed an Orthopaedic training in France from 1979 until mid 1980. And he had completed as an Orthopaedic surgeon in 1985 at University of Indonesia. He also took an Orthopaedic Training at Murnoe, Munich, Germany in the year 1997 and attended AO training in Davos, Switzerland in 1986, 1988 and 1991. In the year 2000, he was as an Asian Senior Traveling lecturer in Asia. He is an International Affiliate Member of of the American Academic of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), a member of the Asean Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and also the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) member. He also attended an Orthopaedic Training at Yokohama in the year 2001. He was the president of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association from 2002 - 2004 and Vice president of Asean Orthopaedic Association.
